Step 2

CUT THE PIECES

To create a good thickness to the horse, i cut four main forms to glue one over the other. Then, I cut two identical pair of legs to fix to the main body. From that, the base has been built and cut according to these dimensions. The accessories such as the horse mount and the handgrip have been added as well.

BUILD YOUR OWN

Step 1

I suggest to do a sketch of the horse shape desired. This jig will be usefull to cut the different parts required. I used an old carton box to draw the principal shape, the legs and some of the accessories.

THE FINISH LINE

Obviously, the horse needs to be painted. I used a white stylist paint to give a classic look to it. I decided to let the base with its natural wood color and I simply used a dyeing. As the horse was a gift for a girl, I added aI a nice a padded cushion for a nice touch.
